The heart of This Momma- My own sweet ones

You my sweet girl... you inspire me!!!

In the quietness of our home... I steal a moment to reflect... to be thankful... to enjoy. To enjoy my life just as it is - the chaos of raising young ones. Never in a million years did I think being a momma would feel like this... Xhillerating & Exhausing at the exact same moment...

Ryder continues to be my love bug!!! I have never seen so many smiles from a baby! Every look from him melts my heart. I find myself getting wrapped up in him because his smile just brightens my days. I often take moments just to hold his sweetness and sing, laugh, and take him in... I just noticed tonight he has so much more hair then he did before... I think he's going to be a blondie. He is rolling over onto his tummy already and HATES it. He is also drooling like crazy - His first tooth broke through on friday (his lower lateral incisor - O - for all of my dental friends :) He is still puking every feeding but he continues to be what the docs call a happy puker so they aren't going to do anything for him... we just wear puke shields and change his outfits often! I wish I could say that he was sleeping through the night... but nope he's not (although if he did I would be worried about his teen years because he would just be way too perfect)

Rhian is such a great big sister... tonight she blessed my heart in the car as Ryder was crying and she kept saying in a comforting tone... "It's ok baby, momma is here"

Ah my little Rhian... When did she become a real kid? Her favorite line right now is "Momma, I do it" She shocks me with all of her hew words and concepts. Uncle Jordan asked her if she wanted to go swimming in the pool as it was hailing and storming outside... she replied "sure".... after he asked her a couple of similar questions all resulting in a "yes" he asked her if she even understood what he was saying... And she nodded her head and said "yes... go swim?" She totally understood and just wanted to jump right in.

She continues to adore babies... Ryder, Shelby, Ava... I just love how she loves others, She says hello to everyone we meet and makes friends everywhere we go. I love the little light in her heart.
She had another huge accomplishment... she climbed up the Mcdonald's play-land thingy and slid down all by herself...
As she is growing so do the challenges for me as her momma. I think we are bit too much alike... And parenting a 2 year old isn't easy... it is a delicate balance between discipline and grace with a whole lot of prayer!
We had a little household accident two weeks ago and I am tearfully grateful for protection over her. She bravely had her staples removed from her little head, which I think actually may have been worse for me.

They inspire me... to want to be a better momma...
They inspire me... to love their Daddy more...
They inspire me... to be more thankful...
They inspire me... behind the camera...
They inspire my heart!

The treasures (chair and bread box) were found at the lovely Green Pea Boutique in Escalon, Ca. They always have such beautiful things!!! Stop by and tell Sandi hi...

  1. Kori...thanks for sharing your amazing pictures, and your precious words. You definitely have the same sweet way about you as your Mom. Don't forget if the kids fuss at each other when they are older...just send them outside for a good ole fashion spagetti fight (cooked pasta of course). Love to you, your Mom and of course "Jordie" (as Paige used to call him" xxoo Robin
